Hi,
I just downloaded the Zyan Framework which by the way impressed me reading the specs.

However, trying to compile the MiniChat Example in order to get acquainted with the Framework I ran into 3 Error:
  1. 'DiscoveryResponse' not found -> MiniChat.Client
  2. Type or namespace 'Discovery' does not exist in namespace 'Zyan.Communication' - MiniChat.Client
  3. 'Zyan.ComponentHost' does not contain a definition for 'EnableDiscovery' -> MiniChat.Server
Any idea what went wrong?

Thank you for your time and effort!

Peter

(compiled the sources and used Debug4 and the compilation errors were gone!) is there a comprehensive doc for what those different debug/3/4 are? Would you recommend working with the sources or the nuget package?

Hi Peter,

thanks for you interest!

Sorry about MiniChat compilation issues.
MiniChat has been updated to demonstrate discovery capabilities of Zyan, but discovery feature is not yet released.
I'm going to publish Zyan version 2.6 in the nearest future, and this version will include service discovery.

is there a comprehensive doc for what those different debug/3/4 are?

These folders are for binaries targeting different versions of .NET framework.
Debug3 — .NET 3.5, Debug 4 — .NET 4.0, Debug — most up-to date .NET 4.5 version.

Would you recommend working with the sources or the nuget package?

Yes, I'd recommend using the latest sources until v2.6 is released.
The latest sources include lots of bugfixes compared to v2.5.
